Treating your containers properly

In order to maintain the longevity of your product use these key methods.

Assembly

Your order may require assembly and arrive in pieces, along with a link to the construction video. Keep these in mind when building:

  • Your ability to assemble your box by hand will vary by strength
  • The best substitute for hand assembly is a rubber mallet
  • When assembling make sure not to apply excessive force especially to smaller components and living hinges
  • If it feels like it's being forced it's probably breaking.

Living hinge

This is by far the most delicate part of most products.

  • Don't bend it more than it is bent in its corresponding instruction video
  • Don't apply a ripping motion to the living hinge
  • Don't stretch the hinge more than required during assembly
  • Do treat the hinge as you would with any fragile object
  • Proper and intended use is very important.

Water

Plywood is particularly suspectable to water due to moisture breaking apart the adhesive between wood layers.

Do not wash.

End of life

When you decide to depart with your product all that is required is to recycle it. Plywood is not compostable nor burnable.
